Are they pressed or blocked?
No. These are loose chips filled straight into sacks — nothing is compressed into a bale or block. They stay light and springy so they spread easily.
What does a sack weigh?
Somewhere between 11 and 14 kg. Because it is loose fill rather than a pressed weight, the figure moves with how coarse and dry the batch runs. We will tell you what the current stock is doing.
Where do the shavings come from?
Off our own saws, from the wood we cut for pallets. Nothing painted or chemically finished goes into the shavings line.
How should sacks be stored?
Under cover and off the ground. Kept dry they last months; left out in the open the chips pick up humidity within a week or two.
Can I set up a standing order?
Yes, and most regular buyers do. Tell us the sack count and the day, and it goes on the round.
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Small orders are fine, and the price per sack improves with quantity.
