Built to protect what's inside.
Closed wooden boxes and open export crates built around the exact item going inside — machinery, fragile goods, or a palletised shipment that needs full protection rather than a strap-down load. ISPM-15 heat treated for international shipment on request.
Three jobs we build for most
Machinery & equipment
Open or closed crates built around an awkward footprint, with internal bracing at the lift points.
Fragile & glass goods
Fully enclosed boxes with internal padding, for goods that cannot take a knock in transit.
Palletised export shipments
A crate built directly onto one of our pallets so the whole shipment moves as one unit.
Send the dimensions of what goes inside
A drawing, a photo with measurements, or the item itself if you can bring it to the yard. Tell us the weight, how it will be lifted, and whether it needs to be fully enclosed or just braced on a pallet, and we will spec the box or crate around it.
Worth knowing
Do crates need ISPM-15 too?
Yes, if the crate is being shipped internationally the same heat-treatment rule applies as pallets. We can build to that standard and provide the certificate.
Is there a weight limit?
No fixed limit — internal bracing and board thickness scale to the weight and how it will be lifted or forked.
Can you add internal padding or foam?
Yes for fragile goods — tell us what is going inside and we will recommend the right internal fit-out.
How long does a custom crate take?
You get a completion date with the quote. A single crate can often be turned around within the week.
